God orchestrates

This past week has been tough to say the least, but even though I believe Satan stole Mike from us, I can see God's mercy in the situation. He allowed this to happen but orchestrated things so well so that I, and others, could have time to grieve. Here is a list of the things that were worked out well:

-I had Tuesday and Wednesday off so it allowed me time to process as well as be with Becca
-I am working at a job where I could just march into my boss's office, tell her I needed 2 more days off (Friday and Saturday) without worrying that I would have to find someone to replace me or that I wouldn't be able to have them off
-I was paid on Wednesday so I was able to pay for eating out when I did not feel like cooking
-my parents were away on holidays and the one day that they were actually going to have their cell phone on was Wednesday
-Tyler's parents were gracious enough to let some of us stay at their place in Swift. It cost us nothing and we were able to have a comfortable place to hang out
-Mike's parents were gracious enough, even in their grief, to allow and invite those of us who were close to Mike to the viewing and later on the burial
-I did not have to go the viewing alone. Craig, Luke, and April were able to come up with me
-Karl's dad was able to drive him to the viewing so he wouldn't be alone
-even though it was tough, Chris and Maryann's wedding was on Saturday and as it has been said by them and others "it was so nice that something so happy and normal could be going on while there was so much grieving".
-Becca is working at a Christian ministry place where there are plenty of people who can minister to her and take care of her as she tries to carry on and work

That is my list for now. If any of you feel you can add to it, please go right ahead. As cliche and cheesy as this sounds, its always comforting to look for and see the good in the bad.

Shantzy... you are so right that God orchestrates.. he has had his hand in every moment since I found out that horrific news... He is constantly walking beside me and beside each of us. I could add a million other things that God has done in the last two weeks, but they're a little hard to write on a blog... I just want to say - Amen... this is so true... God has been with us every step of the way and somehow he will show us the path to life without Mike - even if we never really wanted to have to find it.
I love you sweetie...
-Becca
